Brixen im Thale
Brixen im Thale is located in the center of the Brixental and the Kitzbühel Alps, about 10 minutes from Kitzbühel and 20 min. from the motorway exit in Wörgl.
Even the Celts and later the Romans appreciated the preferred climate and in the 19th century Brixen im Thale was already known as a small health resort, which was even visited by Marie-Louise of Habsburg, Emperor Napoleon's second wife.
Today, Brixen has made a name for itself as a holiday resort with family-run four-star hotels, cozy guesthouses and guesthouses, holiday apartments in every category and the farm holidays and a campsite that are especially popular with families.
Hiking & mountaineering
The striking rock towers of the Wilder Kaiser mountains are the symbol of the Wilder Kaiser region in Tyrol. Through mountain forests, then alpine meadows and most recently dredged boulder fields, hiking trails lead to the foot of steep stone walls and deeply carved rock formations. The opposing, gently rising grass mountains of the Northern Kitzbühel Alps are much easier to wander thanks to gondolas and panoramic routes. They offer a spectacular view of the rocky outcrop of the Wilder Kaiser.
Bike & mountain biking
Mountain biking, racing cycling or a leisurely bike ride, in the home of the KitzAlpBike everyone will find their personal bike experience.
The cable cars of the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental and the Bergbahn Kirchberg - Kitzbühel provide in the summer months for a comfortable ascent to tours and trails in higher altitudes. Bus and train facilitate cycling or arrival in the valley.
Leisure facility
Brixen im Thale has a spacious recreational facility. The swimming pool is very popular with families and the idyllic swimming lake, which is constantly fed by a source of drinking water, promises refreshment and pure relaxation.
With the football field, tennis court, beach volleyball court, children's playground and Kneipp pool, the recreational facility is one of the most attractive and most compact in Tyrol.
